2022 Pesta Sukan Games Taekwondo

NUS Taekwondo will be competing in the upcoming Pesta Sukan Games 2022. This competition is jointly organised annually by Sport Singapore (SportSg) and Singapore Taekwondo Federation (STF). It will be held at Toa Payoh Sports Hall from 4th August to 7th August. The estimated time for the competition will be 1900 to 2200 on 4th and 5th August, and 0900 to 2200 on 6th and 7th August.

The competition has two main events, Poomsae and Kyorugi. The poomsae event involves our members performing a series of preset motions that will be graded by a panel of referees on the day itself. We will be sending a total of 7 members for this event. The Kyorugi event is a form of full-contact sparring against an opponent player. We will be sending a total of 5 players for this event. In total, we have 12 players participating for the 2022 Pesta Sukan Games Taekwondo. On top of this 2 members of the EXCO will be present on the various days to help support our players. The competition has a registration fee, however since it has already been heavily subsidised by the organisers, participating individuals will be cover the cost from their own pocket.
