NUS Japanese Studies Society (JSS) Freshmen Orientation Camp (FOC) 2025 Sign-Ups

Thank you for expressing your interest to be part of the JSS Freshmen Orientation Camp 2025, a fully physical, 3-day camp in NUS taking place from 2nd July to 4th July 2025! Note that there will be no overnight stay. This camp is open to all incoming NUS freshmen for AY2024/25 from all faculties. Kindly take a few minutes to complete this form to officially sign up for the camp! (๑>ᴗ<๑)

Sign-ups will close on 20 June 2025, 2359 hrs or when we have received the maximum number of confirmed participants, whichever is earlier. To confirm your participation, in addition to completing the form below, please note that we will also need to collect a sign-up fee of $25. We will contact you again via email regarding making payment, so don't worry too much about it at this stage! (･ω<)☆

Additionally, as part of the school regulations for the camp, participants are required to produce their NUS Letter of Offer/Acceptance. If you have already received your letter (congratulations!), please upload it in the relevant section of the form below or forward a soft copy to our email at contact@jss.sg as soon as you can. Please send an email in the following format:

Content: Dear JSS, attached is my Letter of Offer for your verification purposes.

(Remember to attach the soft copy of the document!)

However, if you have yet to receive your NUS Letter of Offer/Acceptance but are definitely keen on joining our camp, worry not as you can still complete the form below first! If you receive it by the time we provide payment instructions, you can then complete both steps (Payment and Letter of Offer/Acceptance) together! If you are still awaiting your letter even after we send out instructions on how to make payment, you can opt to make payment first before providing us your letter latest 1 week before the camp, on the 25th June.

I consent to National University of Singapore (NUS) through Japanese Studies Society (JSS) collecting, using and/or disclosing my personal data to third parties (including any third party located outside of Singapore) for the purpose of administering and managing the Event.

I consent to photographs and videos being taken of me during JSS Freshmen Orientation Camp (“the Event”) for the purpose of NUS’ and JSS' marketing and publicity purposes in print, electronic and social media. NUS and JSS shall not be responsible for photographs and/or videos taken by unauthorized persons during the Event.

To help you make an informed decision in withdrawing your consent as given above, please note that if you wish to withdraw your consent, you will not be able to participate in the Event. Should you wish to withdraw your consent as given, please send us an email at contact@jss.sg. We will then remove your information from our database. Please allow up to 7 business days for your withdrawal of consent to take effect.
